The Uttar Pradesh government is hiring Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs).
They are looking to fill 5,272 positions under the Directorate of Family Welfare.
Most of these positions (4,892) will be filled through regular selection, while 380 are reserved for special selection.
To apply, you must have a valid Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2023 score and have completed ANM training from a recognized institution.
The online application process will start on October 28, 2024, and will end on November 27, 2024.

Uttar Pradesh ANM Educational Qualifications
To be eligible for the ANM post, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
- Completed Intermediate (Class 12) from a recognized board.
- Completed an ANM training course of 1.5 to 2 years.
- Registered with the Uttar Pradesh Nurses and Midwives Council.
- Must hold a valid PET-2023 scorecard (zero or negative scores will result in disqualification).
Additional preference will be given to candidates with:
- NCC ‘B’ certificates.
- Territorial Army service experience of at least two years.
Age Limits
People applying for the ANM job must be 18 to 40 years old on July 1, 2024. People from certain groups may be older. ANMs who already have the job may also be older.
Application Fee
Everyone has to pay ₹25 to apply. This includes people from all groups, like OBC, SC, ST, and women. Only people with disabilities or those whose parents fought for India’s freedom can pay less. They will pay based on their main group. You can only pay online, using net banking, UPI, or a credit/debit card.
UP ANM Selection Process
- Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2023 Score: Candidates must have a valid PET-2023 score to qualify for the next stage. Those with zero or negative scores will not be eligible.
- Main Written Exam: Shortlisted candidates from PET will appear for the main exam, which will be conducted online. The exam will have 100 questions, and candidates will get 120 minutes to complete it. Questions will test knowledge related to the ANM field.
- Document Verification and Medical Test: After passing the main exam, candidates must undergo document verification to confirm their eligibility. They will also need to pass a medical fitness test to ensure they are fit for the role
