IBPS PO Preliminary Exam Pattern
The IBPS PO exam starts with a preliminary test. This test is used to choose candidates for the next round. It has three parts and takes 60 minutes. There are 100 questions to answer, and each question has multiple choices. To move forward, you need to get a certain score in each part of the test. The IBPS PO Main Exam is the second part of the exam. It has two parts: descriptive and objective questions. People who passed the first part of the exam can take the Main Exam. There are some new things in the Main Exam.

New Inductions in IBPS PO Main Exam
Following fresh inductions are introduced in the IBPS PO mains examination. Check the list below:
Changes to the SBI PO and IBPS Exams
- New Descriptive Test: The exam now includes a 30-minute writing test with an essay and a letter. It’s worth 25 marks.
- Penalty for Wrong Answers: You’ll lose 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the objective tests.
- Longer Exam Time: The objective test is now 3 hours long, with an extra 30 minutes for the writing test.
- Sections Divided: Reasoning, English, and Data Analysis sections are now split into two parts (A and B). All questions are mandatory, but some are worth more points than others.
- Computer Questions Moved: Computer questions are now part of the Reasoning section.
IBPS PO Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus
The quantitative aptitude syllabus covers a wide range of topics. It starts with basic things like simplifying expressions, calculating averages, and finding percentages. Then, it moves on to more difficult things like mixtures and ratios, and interpreting data. It also covers measurement, geometry, quadratic equations, and interest calculations. Other topics include age-related problems, profit and loss, number series, velocity, distance, time, work-time relationships, number system, data adequacy, linear equations, permutation and combination, and probability. This gives you a strong foundation in quantitative aptitude.
